Getting Florida Fed -GFF

As a proactive high school student in South Florida, I recognized a prevalent challenge: the increasing difficulty for many in accessing nutritious food due to rising costs. In response, I founded "Getting Florida Fed" (GFF) with peers, establishing a mobile food bank. GFF is dedicated to collecting, organizing, and distributing healthy provisions to underserved communities. Our mission is to combat food insecurity by promoting equitable access to nutritious resources, fostering empowerment, and strengthening community bonds. Join us in our efforts to make a tangible impact on the well-being of our fellow Floridians. 

To date, we have distributed approximately 1000 bags of food, each valued at $50, through our initiatives. Looking ahead, our ambition is to significantly expand our impact, aiming to distribute a much larger quantity of food bags in 2024 and beyond. The overarching objective of GFF is to donate 2000 bags by late-2024/early-2025, furthering our mission to alleviate food insecurity and promote wellness within our community.
